Timber Edge Camps

Book now

With 2,600 miles of shoreline accessible from Timber Edge Camps, there’s plenty of opportunity to find the fish of your dreams. From Butterfly Lake you can leave our dock and access Minnitaki, Abram and Pelican Lakes without a single portage. This alone brings many of our guests back year after year.

Our 16′ aluminum boats are equipped with late model Yamaha 25 hp motors, 2 swivel seats, anchors, paddles, nets, life jackets, and minnow bucket. The variation of sheltered fishing locations and habitats means a wide variety of species (bass, perch, pike, muskie, trout, walleye, whitefish) while allowing you to fish in almost any weather.

With the fishing done for the day we might want to investigate some other activities or just settle into your cabin and cook up your catch.

You can choose from one of our spotless, fully modern cabins – all with a view of the lake. Each cabin is equipped with a stove, fridge and all the necessities for cooking. The three piece washroom and heaters provide additional comfort.

HUNTING

The Spring and Fall bear hunting is outstanding. In 18 years of bear hunting the average weekly bear sightings per hunters is 7 and as high as 16, with well over a 90% success rate of taking a bear home.We stress shooting large male bears with a 300# plus bear very attainable.Bears harvested range in color from all black to chocolate and cinnamon. White V’s, stars and crests on bears chests are also very common.

They take one group of hunters per week with a total of 16 hunters per season. All shots range from 14-25 yards. Spring hunts start the 3rd Saturday in May – June 15 while the fall is August 15- October 1. The wolf season is September 15- October 1.

All bear hunts come with 7 nights accommodations, and a boat, motor, and fuel so you can fish when your not hunting(usually mornings) or done hunting. Hunts are 6 days. Assistance with tracking and skinning along with freezer service is provided.
